Matte Finish
Prep: Begin by removing all dust from your painted piece. If desired, all areas should be painted and distressed before sealing with Matte Finish.
Application: Stir Matte Finish thoroughly before using and occasionally during use. DO NOT shake. Apply using a Terry staining pad, lint-free cloth, or foam brush/roller. Apply in thin coats, working in small areas at a time. Do not overwork. Allow the finish to dry 1-2 hours in most climates, before applying a second coat. If your vintage find produces stains after using this or any water-based product (this can happen at varied rates due to depth of stain or dryness of the wood) use Bungalow 47™ Clear Primer to block them before reapplying paint and finish.
Optional: Sanding between coats with a very fine 220-grit sandpaper will ensure an ultra-smooth finish. Apply a third coat, if desired, for high usage areas.
Estimated Coverage: Covers approximately 75-100 square feet.
Estimated Dry/Cure Time: Depending on your climate, the finish will be dry to the touch within 1-2 hours. The product will continue to cure and harden over 7 days.
Clean Up: Clean up any spills and spatters, along with your painting tools, using warm soapy water.
